PatternMaker and CrossOver Mac

Installing PatternMaker with CrossOver Mac is a two-step
process;
first, you install CrossOver Mac, and then you install PatternMaker
using CrossOver’s compatibility tools. Important:
CrossOver Mac
requires an Intel-based Mac in order to function. Older model Power-PC
Macs (G3, G4, etc.) will not be able to run CrossOver, and hence cannot
run PatternMaker.
Please follow these instructions to install
both CrossOver Mac and PatternMaker:
| |
In your Mac finder, open up the
PatternMaker CD. In the “Mac” directory, find the CrossOver .dmg file. |
 |
Drag the .dmg file into your Applications folder on your
Mac.
CrossOver will install.
|
| |
Once
CrossOver is installed, run CrossOver by clicking on the CrossOver icon
on your dock, or running it from your Applications start menu.
Select Configure>Install Software |
|

|
The CrossOver Software Installer window will appear. |
| |
Click the “Install Unsupported Software” button |
|

|
CrossOver will warn you that you’re installing
unsupported software. |
|

|
CrossOver
will then ask you whether you want to install into a new or existing
bottle. Pick New bottle. (A bottle, by the way, is just a container for
PatternMaker and the virtual Windows environment that will run
PatternMaker) |
|

|
Give the bottle a name (“New Bottle”, “PatternMaker”,
whatever you desire). |
|

|
CrossOver creates the bottle |
|

|
Select where the Windows installer file lives. (Either your CD or where you downloaded the program.)
This option should be highlighted by default. |
|

|
Click the Install button. PatternMaker
will install. |
