MacroGen 4
Macro Generator (MacroGen 4) is a companion tool for PatternMaker Professional, Grading, or Marker Studio from Patternmaker Software.
A macro is a small add-on program which runs from within PatternMaker to automatically draw points and lines and connect them in a way that creates a custom-fit garment based on the measurements that are typed in by the user. PatternMaker uses this macro system to draw pre-designed, custom-fit garments for users who do not have the necessary experience with pattern drafting to draw a pattern from scratch.
MacroGen allows pattern designers to quickly and easily translate their designs from paper to a macro which can be read by the PatternMaker program. MacroGen 4 offers the following features:
- Turn your own designs into a macro that can be used with the PatternMaker Basic Viewer (free) or editing software
- Garments you design can be custom-drafted for each customer
- Customers can sew your designs using their own measurements
- The new Macro Generator 4 interface was created for designers who are used to working in paper. If you can draft on paper, you can draft in the computer!
- Save time by creating the basic pattern in Macro Generator 4 and then editing it in the Professional Studio (formerly Home Studio).
- Quickly create a professional product by adding pictures to your design options.
- The new interface is intuitive and easy to learn.
- Use the new conditions window to refine your patterns for an improved fit.
- Macro Generator 4 has new commands for adding points: scale, arc line intersect and arc arc intersect.
This program requires the Professional Studio (formerly Home Studio), Grading, or Marker studio to work properly. You must have both programs. If you already own the Professional Studio, you will need to upgrade to the newest version (there is no charge for this).
