PatternMaker Marker Studio

PatternMaker Marker Studio is an extended version of PatternMaker's Professional Studio (Formerly Home Studio) and Grading Studio that features marker making. PatternMaker Marker is for any manufacturer that wants to make its own production markers.

PatternMaker Marker Studio's marking features help you arrange the piece in a marker; determine how efficient your arrangement is; and track information for costing and production purposes.

The Marker Studio lets you perform all the functions in the production process, from initial pattern design to altering and grading to printing production markers, from the same software package.

Digitizers

Use a digitizing tablet to "trace" paper patterns into the computer. Copy your slopers into the computer--a whole drawer of tagboard slopers will fit on one floppy disk. Trace small-scale patterns from books or magazines, then use the "Expand" command to make them full-size.

A digitizing tablet is a tablet-like device with its own mouse. Put a paper pattern on the digitizing tablet and draw it into the computer by moving the mouse over the pattern. Common digitizers range in size from 12" x 12" to 60" x 44", and in price from approximately $400.00 to $3000.00. We prefer CalComp or GTCO digitizers.

Marking Features

Arrange - Move pieces into place on the marker while making sure they don't overlap
Plaid/Stripe Repeat - Space pieces according to the fabric's plaid or stripe repeat distance
Define Piece - Keep the non-marker parts of your pattern (words, stitch lines, etc.) out of view while you work with marker pieces
Marker Report - Information such as yardage required, efficiency, style name, material group, and more

Plotting Markers

All PatternMaker versions work automatically with any Windows-driven printing or plotting device. This means you can produce pages up to 48" wide. While Windows itself does not support printing devices wider than 48", a manufacturer can provide its own printer drivers for a specific printer or plotter.

Downloading and Registration Instuctions:

Download the Program file using the link to the left. Install the program. Open the program and go to the Settings menu and select Register. You will receive a serial number by e-mail within 1 business day of confirmation of your payment. Entering your name and serial number will generate an ID String. Cut and paste the ID String into an e-mail to PatternMaker please tell us the version you have purchased (Deluxe Editor, Professional Studio, Grading Studio or Marker.)
