I’m a designer

I want to computerize my paper patterns I’ll use my patterns in fixed sizes, whatever the paper pattern was, and modify them on-screen Best option: Grading Studio, to allow precise tracing of patterns using your digitizer tablet. Next-best option: Professional Studio, either to trace scanned bitmap images (.bmp files) of all the pattern pieces, or to re-draft single-size patterns as you did originally on paper. I want to put a customer’s custom measurements into my own patterns Best option: MacroGenerator-Professional Studio bundle. Draft your pattern once in MacroGenerator using measurement “placeholders,” and then use PatternMaker to produce the pattern with your customer’s actual measurements. I’d like to be able to sell my patterns as PatternMaker add-ons My patterns are fixed sizes For clothing, consider the Grading Studio, plus Collection Creator. I sew for other people (costumes, fashion designer, bridalwear, etc.)

I often have to make the same garment in many custom sizes Best option: MacroGenerator AND Professional Studio. With these two products, you can draft the pattern once and then recreate it in any number of “custom-drafted” options. I make one-of-a-kind garments by drafting them individually for each customer Best option: Professional Studio. Also consider adding the Basic Blocks collection to use a custom-fit block as a starting point. Or if you need more, consider adding MacroGenerator to draft your own starting point!
