Upgrading and Reinstalling

Maintenance releases:

Updates within the same version number are always free. Check the downloads page for the latest release. Updates to the add-in pattern collections are also free.

Installing on a second computer or a new computer:

Your PatternMaker license allows you to install a registered copy of PatternMaker on two of your own computers, as long as only one is used at a time. Each computer produces a unique ID String and needs to be registered separately. Just contact us at support@patternmakerusa.com with your second ID String.

If you need to install PatternMaker on a new computer when you already have two active installations, you can contact us for a little utility that will “deauthorize” one of the computers. You can then register the new computer as your second installation.

If you just need to print patterns from a different computer, you can install PatternMaker as the free Basic Reader on any computer without registration and without affecting your two-computer limit; however, the limit still applies to the add-in garment collections.

Upgrading from one level to another:

You can upgrade from the Deluxe Editor to the Professional Studio (or Professional Studio to Grading Studio) by simply paying the difference in the price of the engine. Your original purchase price is applied toward the next level, so you never lose anything by starting with a lower level.

Please note that if you are using your patterns with the Basic Reader, you have not purchased any version of the engine. The minimum upgrade in this case would be the Deluxe Editor.
