Add-On Patterns

Leena Lähteenmäki was a Finnish lawyer and designer. Over a period of about 6 years, Leena developed the 19 original pattern collections for PatternMaker. She was very active in PMUG, the PatternMaker User’s Group, listening to what customers wanted, and incorporating their requests and suggestions into her next projects. She was also very generous with her knowledge, and enjoyed producing material to add to her website (www.leenas.com). She helped inspire the development of MacroGenerator, so that other designers would be able to produce add-in patterns without having to learn the complex programming language.

Leena passed away in early 2003, after an extended illness. Even in the last months, when she spent more time in the hospital than at home, she always had her laptop with her, and she said many times that working on PatternMaker was a great joy, and helped her focus on something productive.

She transferred the rights for all her materials to PatternMaker USA, so that we could continue to sell the patterns and maintain her website as a resource.
